Rivka T. Witenberg (Ph.D)
Rivka T. Witenberg is an academic (Ph.D. Research, The University of Melbourne) and an author. Her major research interest is the interactions between tolerance to human diversity and moral development, reasoning and judgements as well as other factors that may influence tolerance. Her research about tolerance was informed by her realisation that tolerance to human diversity is a different psychological construct from prejudice which led to years of research to better understand how tolerance is conceptualised from childhood to young adulthood.
She is the author of academic papers, books, book chapters, monograms, media articles and blogs about tolerance and factors that influence it. She has lectured in psychology (development and cognition) both at the University of Melbourne and Australian Catholic University. She has also conducted programs for teachers and other interested parties about tolerance as an educational tool.
